It is usually used in antenatal examination rooms, labor rooms, delivery rooms and postpartum hospitalization and recovery places to provide professional medical staff with monitoring data of fetal and maternal physiological parameters to assist medical decision-making.
The main function is to measure the fetal uterine contraction pressure, help medical staff understand the uterine contraction of pregnant women, and then monitor the status of the fetus in the uterus. In addition to the Toco measurement, the Toco MP transducer (M2734B) and the CL Toco+MP transducer (866075) have two built-in sensors for measuring the maternal pulse. The technology used is similar to SpO2, but only the maternal pulse (MP) is measured.
The two maternal pulse sensors under the plastic surface of the Toco MP transducer (M2734B) and the CL Toco+MP transducer (866075) scatter infrared light through the underlying layer of the transducer. The pulsating diameter of the arterioles causes a change in the reflected light. The measured light changes are evaluated and the maternal pulse number is displayed and recorded.
